“The employee survey is dead!” We’ve all heard it before. But as a matter of fact, the survey is far from over; it has a new lease of life in the form of ‘pulse’ surveys or ‘temperature checks’. Short and sharp digital surveys, they give of the moment, actionable results which are vital to keeping on top of your employees’ feelings.
AQ has teamed up with Annabel Dunstan, Co-Founder and Chief Insight Officer at Question & Retain, who have their own Pulse Check™ product, to discuss this latest survey technique and ask you to rate some common preconceptions.
Thanks for taking part
Not sure where to start? Check out Annabel’s top tips for a first-time pulse surveyor:
Remember what’s gone before – just because you’re changing your methods doesn’t mean that your previous findings are no longer relevant. Migrate your old data to your new process and build on it in future surveys.
Follow your gut – what are those water cooler bugbears that you have a gut feeling about but can’t prove? Base your questions around them so you can gather data to back them up.
Don’t leave employees hanging – build trust by making sure you have an action plan in place for the end of each survey. That way you’ll be prepared to get straight to work on the results.
